APPROACH AND RESULTS

img-01

Merck worked closely with Celeritas to launch a web-based platform integrated with other core systems at Merck, including Veeva Vault.  Using a seamless process, approved content from Veeva was made available for distributors via an interactive interface.  The platform was also integrated to Single-Sign on systems, and was designed to be mobile-responsive.

Key features included:

  • Access to up-to-date product information including dosage, packaging, images, pricing, and safety data.
  • Sophisticated support ticketing system to allow user queries and requests to be handled rapidly and routed internally.
  • Help section with a repository of training videos, and job aids, to facilitate quick on-boarding and support of users.

RESULTS

Feedback from distributors on the portal has been highly positive with 85% of users citing an “Exceptional” experience.  Transaction activity in the self-service portal has been significantly increased over the last 12 months, driving a decrease of 40% in the human time needed to support distributors allowing Merck employees to focus on other value-added tasks.
